Lasha Kharazi

Lasha Kharazi obtained his PhD in philosophy from Tbilisi State University in 2021. Since 2023 he has been an associate professor at Georgian-American University, Tbilisi. Currently, he also lectures on courses in modern philosophy at Caucasus University and European University. His main sphere of interest is the problems of ontology: the question of being and non-being understood in their philosophic-historical unfolding.

Lasha regularly participates in academic conferences and has published several articles on various themes of philosophy, including the philosophies of Heidegger, Deleuze, and Spinoza. In 2021, Lasha translated Guy Debord’s The Society of the Spectacle into Georgian. He has been an active participant of the Heidegger and Classical Thought reading group since 2021. At the moment, Lasha’s primary research interest is the philosophy of Martin Heidegger, more precisely his 1936-1944 writings, also known as the beyng-historical treaties.
